Victoria Beckham announces launch of new YouTube channel

Victoria Beckham has launched her first activewear collection with Reebok, having announced her collaboration with the sports brand in April 2018.

The Spring 2019 line features premium sportswear products ranging in price from £29 to £500, the designs of which have all been inspired by Beckham’s experiences of living in London and Los Angeles.

The aim of the collection is to allow consumers to transition effortlessly from the street to the gym, without feeling the need to sacrifice fashion in favour of high-quality activewear, according to the press release.

While the collection includes separate clothing for men and women, it also offers a variety of unisex clothing.

This was “key” for Beckham when establishing the range’s aesthetic, she says.

“Each piece is designed to flex, adapt and transition for the optimum workout, but it was also important that I created something that is fashion-froward and can blend seamlessly into any wardrobe,” the former Spice Girls members adds.

“These pieces can take you from the gym to the office, with the school run in between.”

Beckham expressed her excitement over the range’s launch on Instagram by posting a couple photos of herself posing in front of a mirror wearing trainers, leggings, a crop top and cap from the line.

Here’s a first look at the Reebok x Victoria Beckham Spring 19 collection:

The Reebok x Victoria Beckham partnership unsurprisingly bears similarities with the fashion designer’s eponymous brand, which she first launched in 2008.

The new collection combines the muted colours of camel brown, silver and grey with the bold hues of sunset orange, black and white for a striking overall finish.

Over the past decade, Beckham has demonstrated her aptitude for designing apparel that’s chic, sophisticated and elegant, a talent that she’s added to her latest clothing launch.

“The collection boldly reveals Victoria’s vision that is strong and confident, with a modern and inclusive point of view,” says Karen Reuther, vice president of Creative Direction at Reebok.

“Victoria Beckham and Reebok have upped the game in fit, fabric, silhouette and finish, and this collection pushes the definition of sportswear to a new level. Victoria’s thoughtful approach to design is reflected in every detail.”

A “VB” vector has been incorporated into the clothing to mark the partnership between the designer and the sports brand.
