Five bowlers to watch at the Cricket World Cup

England suffered a shock defeat to Sri Lanka in the Cricket World Cup at Headingley.

Eoin Morgan's men were on a high after a blistering innings from the skipper himself powered them to a 150-run win over Afghanistan at Old Trafford on Tuesday. But they came crashing down to earth at Headingley as Lasith Malinga shredded their top order on the way to a famous win.

Here's how it played out:

The news from Headingley this morning is that Sri Lankan captain Dimuth Karunaratne won the toss and decided to BAT first.

Eoin Morgan admits afterwards that he would've also chosen to bat on what looks a decent batting wicket...

SRI LANKA - 0-0 (0.3 overs)

Very solid start from Woakes.

His first ball nips in and almost catches Karunaratne's bat, before nipping the pad high and going through to Buttler.

Two more dot balls follow.

SRI LANKA - 2-0 (1 over)

Karunaratne gets off the mark with a quick single to leg side, and Perera follows suit on his first ball.

The skipper leaves the final ball - two from the first over.

No surprise to see Jofra Archer bowling the second over...

SRI LANKA 3-0 (1.3 overs)

3rd umpire involved early!

After two dot balls, Perera takes a risky single and a direct hit means the square-leg umpire goes upstairs.

One replay shows that Karunaratne is comfortably in his crease. Not out.

WICKET! Sri Lanka 3-1: Karunaratne, c Buttler b Archer, 1

An early breakthrough for England!

On the final ball of his over, Archer finds the perfect line and the ball just flicks off Karunaratne's outside edge - a comfortable catch for Buttler behind.

Sri Lanka under pressure straight away.

WICKET! Sri Lanka 3-2: Perera, c Ali b Woakes, 2

And on ball two of over 3, England get their second wicket!!

A bizarre shot from Kusal Perera - he chases a wide ball and it spoons over the slips and straight to third man Moeen Ali, who makes a simple enough catch!

What a start for England!
