The Simpsons reluctantly accept their new lives as Disney characters

Following Disney’s acquisition of Fox, The Simpsons have officially become Disney characters.

Disney has since confirmed that all 30 seasons of the celebrated show will be available on their streaming service, Disney+, from its launch.

“I for one salute our new corporate overlords,” Homer Simpson says in a new promotional video for Disney+.

“Now family put on the mouse ears,” the father continues, to which Bart replies: “I don’t wanna, I’m not gonna, and you can’t make me.”

Eventually, the family – stood before Darth Vader and Disney CEO Bob Iger – all put on their Mickey Mouse ears, while Marge's shoots into the sky and hits Dumbo. Watch above.

At an event in California, Disney confirmed that their streaming service will launch in the United States on 12 November and at a price of US$6.99 a month.

The company also revealed details about various upcoming shows, including both Marvel and Star Wars properties.
