Jose Mourinho: Jurgen Klopp needs to be more honest with his Liverpool players

Jose Mourinho may be without a club at the moment, but that hasn’t stopped the Portuguese from continuing to stir the pot with his outspoken ways.

In his latest TV appearance, the former Manchester United boss was – once again – keen to highlight the importance of winning titles over nurturing the right “philosophy”.

It’s a classic Mourinho line – one that was repeatedly recycled throughout his final season at Old Trafford as he attempted to deflect his own shortcomings onto rivals such as Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino.

Both have yet to win any silverware during their time in England, despite earning high praise for the philosophies they’ve entrenched at their respective clubs.

For Mourinho, though, it’s far more black and white – and always will be.

“I won titles everywhere I have been and I cannot run away from my mentality,” he told BeIN Sports.

“Some coaches like to sell the idea of a philosophy, but you have to sell the philosophy after you win.

"If you win nothing, what is the point?

“If your team plays very well, your team wins, so I don't like these contradictions we have in football nowadays.”

Jose, give it a rest.
